Counselling near Rayleigh

If you live in Rayleigh and you're feeling anxious, low, stressed or stuck, you don't have to work it out on your own. My counselling room is in Leigh-on-Sea, a short drive or a direct bus ride away, and if travelling doesn't suit you, I also see clients online and by phone.

Your first 50-minute session is on me, so you can see whether we're the right fit before you commit to anything.

How counselling can help

Reaching out can feel daunting, especially if you're used to coping on your own. Counselling gives you time to slow down and look at what's happening beneath the surface.

I won't tell you what to do. We work together, at your pace, to understand your thoughts, feelings and patterns, and what you'd like to be different.

Ease anxiety and constant overthinking

Build self-esteem and confidence

Cope with stress, burnout or feeling overwhelmed

Understand patterns in relationships

Feel more connected to themselves and others

People often come to counselling to:

What I can help with

You don't need a diagnosis, or to be able to explain exactly how you feel. Counselling can help you make sense of things in your own time.

Carey Webb, counsellor in Leigh-on-Sea

A local counsellor you can trust

I'm Carey Webb, a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist with a counselling room on London Road in Leigh-on-Sea. I see clients from Rayleigh and the surrounding area in person, and from across the UK online and by phone, whichever is easiest for you.

My approach is warm, non-judgemental and shaped around you. I work in a person-centred and solution-focused way, so we can explore what's going on and also think about practical next steps when that helps.

I'm a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP, register number 403050) and work within its Ethical Framework.

By Car

Head south through Thundersley towards Hadleigh, then east along London Road (A13) into Leigh. There's no dedicated parking, but on-street parking is available on the roads nearby. It can be busy at school drop-off and pick-up times.

By Train

Rayleigh station is on the Greater Anglia line to Southend Victoria, which doesn't stop in Leigh, so the bus or car is usually easier.

By Bus

The number 1 runs from Rayleigh (including the railway station and the library) through Thundersley, Benfleet and Hadleigh to the West Leigh Schools stop, about 300 metres from the room.

Finding the entrance

The entrance is at the top of Percy Road. Press the buzzer for your room. I'll confirm your room number when I confirm your session. There's no waiting area, so please arrive at your session time

Access

The room is on the first floor, up a flight of stairs, with no lift or stairlift. If stairs are difficult for you, online or telephone sessions are available.
