PRIVATE COUNSELLING - LEIGH-ON-SEA, ONLINE & PHONE
About me
A supportive space to talk, reflect, and begin to feel more like yourself

Carey Webb MBACP
Qualified counsellor and psychotherapist
If you're here, you may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low, or unsure how to make sense of what's happening in your life. Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you're used to coping on your own or putting others first.
My role is to offer you a calm, confidential space where you can talk openly and be met with understanding, not judgement.

About me as a therapist
I'm Carey Webb, a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, offering private counselling in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, as well as online therapy across the UK.
I understand that choosing a therapist is a personal decision. It's important that you feel comfortable, safe, and able to be yourself. I aim to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel supported, respected, and free to explore whatever feels important to you.
I'm a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in line with its Ethical Framework, placing your wellbeing, confidentiality, and autonomy at the heart of my work.
Who I work with
I work with adults who may be experiencing:
Anxiety and constant overthinking
Low self-esteem or self-criticism
Relationship difficulties
Low mood or emotional exhaustion
Stress, burnout, or feeling overwhelmed
A sense of feeling stuck, lost, or disconnected
People often come to therapy wanting relief, clarity, or simply a place where they don't have to hold everything together. Whatever brings you here, we can take the time to explore it together.
What sessions are like
Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place once a week, although this can be adjusted to suit your needs.
In person
Face-to-face counselling in my therapy room in Leigh-on-Sea.
Online video
Counselling by secure video, anywhere in the UK.
Telephone
Counselling by phone, if speaking by voice feels easier.
Therapy is your space. You're always welcome to ask questions, reflect on how things are going, or raise any concerns as we work together.
Volunteering
I volunteer one day a week at Open Road in Basildon, a local drug and alcohol service, where I offer free counselling to people at various points in their recovery.
I believe everybody should be able to access counselling, whatever their financial situation.
